Care Instructions
Wool felt is a naturally easy-care material. It stays fresh on its own, resists odours and doesn’t require frequent washing. In most cases, simple airing is enough.
General care tips
→ Airing
Air your felt products regularly.
In winter, place them outside in fresh air. In summer, you can refresh them overnight in the freezer inside a plastic bag.
→ Cleaning
Always clean stains locally. Use a damp cloth or sponge and a detergent suitable for wool.
Avoid soaking the product completely. Felt products should not be machine washed, as this may cause them to lose their shape, shrink, harden, or become uneven.
→ Drying
Dry at room temperature.
Underfloor heating is suitable, but avoid very hot environments such as saunas or boiler rooms.
→ Storage
Store felt products in a dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Avoid storing them in places with fluctuating humidity, such as attics or outdoor spaces.
For long-term storage, protect the product with a plastic bag or newspaper to prevent moth damage.
Product-specific care
Indoor wool felt slippers
Brush regularly with a soft brush to remove dust and loose fibres.
Outdoor wool felt slippers
Allow your slippers to rest between uses to let the wool fibre recover and release moisture.
If the slippers get wet, let them dry properly after use.
You can also protect them with a moisture-repellent spray suitable for felt slippers. Choose a spray designed for breathable materials.
You can find a suitable protective spray in our selection.
Wool insoles
If insoles move inside your shoes, they can be fixed in place using small pieces of double-sided tape.
As they absorb moisture, allow them to dry properly after use.
Sauna hats
Sauna hats can be stored in the sauna, but should also be dried in normal room conditions from time to time.
For best shape, store the hat on a flat surface.
We recommend regular airing – see instructions in the "General care tips" section above.
